Edenwilde Barracuda Preseason Information
Hello, Swim Parents!
Swim season is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to get back into the pool! I wanted to share some exciting and important information.
Evaluations - We will hold an evaluation for all swimmers ages 6 and under before the start of practice. Swimmers ages 5-6 should be able to come off the wall and swim independently to a coach with their faces in the water.
We also hold an evaluation for new team members ages 7-8. They should be able to swim one lap of freestyle and backstroke. If not, they should attend the beginner practice.

Team Suits – We have a new team suit for the 2024-2025 seasons. Please stop by Kiefer Aquatics (formerly All American Swim) for sizing and purchase.
Parent Meeting - This will held virtually and closer to the beginning of the season. Information to follow.
Parent Reps – This will be my last year as a parent rep for the team. Please reach out to me if you are willing to step up for next year.
System Improvements – We are very excited to announce that we have visual and technical improvements thanks to our generous sponsors and successful luminary fundraiser in December!
New blue and green lane flags with Edenwilde’s logo are in the works as well as a record board display with swim records going back quite a few years. Christy Errico-Abrams was instrumental in getting these in place.
A new timing system has been ordered. This will relieve some of our home-meet volunteer requirements and allow us to see swim times immediately on an app. More information to follow. We will need a parent to oversee the system. It will be a season-long volunteer position.
